Hello again,

Just back from my holidays and its time to upgrade. Was talking about this a few times before on which mobo to get.I liked the ASUS P5W but heard it needed a bios flash so cant be bothered with all that.
I just spotted this mobo for the first time MSI 975X Platinum PowerUP Edition (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard (MB-072-MS) and i am wondering has anybody got one and does it support conroe and work out the box? I actually have an MSI motherboard for my old setup and really liked them boards so if all is good with this im gonna go ahead and order.

As i am not an overclocker would i be just aswell getting PC-5400 ram ? or should i just get PC-6400?

Thanking you for any suggestions.

PS. Anyone know when the Intel Core 2 DUO E6700 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.67GHz (1066FSB) - Retail (CP-129-IN) will be released as it still says on website Pre-Order.

Forgot to add,, i need it for crossfire :D. maybe aswell getting the ASUS then, i just hope i dont need to flash it as i have never done that before and wouldnt know where to start.

What res do you play at? Crossfire is a waste at anything under 1600x1200. Esp with the X1950 coming :D

Ill be going from

AMD64 4000+
MSI Neo2Crossfire
2x 1GB Geil Dual Channel kit
x1900xt-x 512MB
x1900CF Edition 512MB
FSU Sparkle 700W PSU

To:

Intel DUO E6700
Asus P5W DH Deluxe WiFi
G.Skill 2GB DDR2 LA PC2-5400
x1900xt-x 512MB
x1900CF Edition 512MB
FSU Sparkle 700W PSU

You think ill get any performance boosts in the liked of playing games etc(more fps). I know it will help me with video editing and rendering compression but games im not to sure about. :D
