Hi, does anyone have any reviews or experience using this monitor? I can't find barely anything about it online. It looks to me like one of the closest competetors to the Samsung Odyssey G7, albiet with a lower refresh rate and HDR cert. It's £150 cheaper here compared to the G7 though, I'm just worried the smearing would be a lot worse on it compared to the G7's VA panel.

What do you guys think about this monitor? I've also been looking at the LG27GP850 for the same price but it's an IPS and I game/watch a lot in the dark so I'd like the contrast from a VA. The Artymis seems like a great contendor it just seems to be impossible to find any reviews of it online. I also found it odd how the 27" version is £350 whereas the 34" one is selling for £600-800, I believe the only spec difference is the 34" model has 4K; everything else seems identical.

Cheers!

The panel in this is not the same as the one in the G7, so you wont get the amazing VA performance, it will be more conventional in that sense, you will get the great contrast and colours though. I recently bought the Artymus 343CQR which is the 34" model you mentioned, this is not 4K it's a 21:9 3440x1400 ultrawide, the key thing about the Artymis line is they have a 1000R curve, personally I'm not sure I like the idea of that on a 16:9 monitor, especially a 27" model. On a 34" ultrawide however it's actually great, I really like it, I only had 2 options that I know of to get that on a 34" which was this MSI or the much cheaper, lower end Samsung Odyssey G5 (there is no 240Hz panel variant at this size using the same panel's as the G7 and G9). I am very happy with the 343CQR but I paid £599 for it, I would not pay the full MSRP of £799 for it, I don't think it's worth that much, not for a VA panel like this, ...I cannot speak for the 273CQR however, but given the differences between it and the G7 I would probably be more inclined to pay for the G7, it's likely it will have a Black Friday deal any day now anyway, Samsung's often do.

I also have an LG27GN850 which I use as as a second monitor or if I want to absolutely maximise motion performance should I feel the need in something (I really don't) and it's an excellent monitor, I would probably sooner have this then any 27" VA ...the G7 aside ...however 1000R curve on a 27" ....I don't think so.

Thanks for the helpful reply! Yeah I am definitely leaning towards waiting for Black Friday to see if the G7 does go on sale. Do you know which VA panel is used in the Artymis ones, if there are any other monitors using the same panel? I'm guessing it might be the lower end G5 panels? I'm not too worried about the curve personally so I think I might end up liking the G7 for my use case, but it's quite a bit more expensive than the Artymis still! If the panels are not too far apart I would probably just settle with the Artymis unless the G7 does end up going down to 400 or less. Still tempted by the GP850 though, such a hard choice!
