Hello.
First time building. Just starting building a new p.c got all the components in the pc went to power on nothing happened. The bios update light flashes red when I press it but no lights on the motherboard come on. I have no other items to swap around to see what the problem is. My system is.
MSI gaming edge wifi x570.
Ryzen 5 3600
Team group dark force 16gb. 3200mhz
Powercooler Rx 5700 xt red dragon
Phanteks eclipse p400 air midi tower
Phanteks amp 650w plus gold.
Seagate Barracuda 510 nvme m.2.
 
there are ZERO lights on the board? So the POST lights are totally off? No fans spin up or anything when you press the power button? use a screwdriver to short the power button headers to make sure the button isn't broken on the case. Also try reseating the CPU/RAM/GPU. Check for bent pins on the CPU. Make sure the PSU connectors are all plugged in.

Yea zero lights come on when power is connected apart from the bios button on the back flashes red when I hold it down. Only thing I haven't done is taken the CPU out I will do that when I get home. Thank you.
 
No I took everything out again not worked. I've took it to local pc shop to see if he can find what the problem is as I don't have spare parts. Does your motherboard show any lights when the power is in the computer but not turned on?
 
I don’t have that board but also has a MSI board. Why are you pressing the bios flash button at the back panel out of interest?

I know it is a red light. But you know you shouldn’t be pressing shinny red buttons :)

i think you might have done something to the bios. Try a cmos clear. If that is not good try to follow the instruction for a bios flash with the bios downloaded from MSI. Then do a bios flash.
