Hi all,
Recently decided to build my own desktop from the ground up. Last time I did this was years ago, when Athlon X2 was a thing.
I put all the parts together and the system would not post. Tried putting the PSU into another computer and it worked, I tried the RAM kit which also worked and the CPU too.
Basically I can turn the system on but the 'EZ Debug' on the board shows a light for DRAM issue. I put the RAM into different ports, I tried just one stick of RAM in every port and I even put known, working, RAM from another AMD system and it still did not work (Friend has AMD Ryzen 1600).
I flashed the BIOS to the most recent version using the method shown on MSI's YouTube channel. The motherboard updated and still shows a DRAM issue.
I have done more troubleshooting like changing power cables on the PSU, tried booting with and without my M.2, or GPU. I can not pass the DRAM stage/light.
I cant think of anything else I can try other than sending the motherboard RMA.
Any suggestions appreciated.
Thanks!
