Hi guys!

My first post here & in need of some expert advice!!

I'm in the market for a new monitor, mostly for gaming etc, I've narrowed it down to these:

MSI MSI Optix G32CQ4
LG 32GN600-B

I recently built a PC for my nephew, and we picked up the MSI monitor above & it is a nice monitor to be honest, so much so that it's got me wanting to buy one for myself! They seem a good price for the spec but then I noticed this LG one on Overclockers which is slightly cheaper, but same spec, so I'm not sure which to go for? The advantage with the one from overclockers is I can go in person to pick it up as it isn't too far away :D

I've looked up reviews etc & looked at the specs, and the specs are pretty much exactly the same for both monitors, except the LG's screen is a tiny bit larger, but other than that there seems to be no difference unless I'm missing something!?

So what I want to know is which would be best!? Also, at present I'm running an nvidia card & my next card which I'm going to upgrade after Xmas (or when prices become more realistic!) will be the RTX 3060 or 70, Both of these monitors have Freesync which is for the ATI cards & I've looked around for a monitor of similar spec/price that supports G SYNC but no luck. So will my card still be good for this monitor? I've read that Freesync supports some nvidia cards providing I use the DP port (not the HDMI) is this true?

Any advice/help much appreciated!

Cheers :)

LG is basic old lowest common denominator sRGB gamut monitor.
Compared to wide gamut monitor it gives duller looking colours.

As common factor both are VA monitors.
That means their contrast and hence black is the way best of LCDs.
But downside is that VAs have really slow black/dark shade starting transitions, called "black smear".
Here's comparison to IPS:

Not ideal if you prefer fast paced shooters.
