had my first go at overclocking fx57 last night, turned my mutlipier from 14 to 15.5 and got 3100, wouldnt start up with 16x so the left that, started messing with the FSB, got it to 205 on start up and 215 while in windows, which gave me 3300, looking good I thought, especially on air, the problem i have is my agp neo2 platinum board has decided to not let me lower my HT, everytime i press enter on it the box opens but theres nothing in it and my computer frezzes, i know its stuck at 5x which is limiting my fsb, has anybody had this problem before, I need help, wqas thinking to flash the bios but i dont really know how to do that, any help will be apricated as i want to go as far as i can with this chip

Your board is basically the skt 939 version of my skt 754 board and with MSI you can download the MSI live update 3 software which then makes it dead simple to flash the bios. After installing you follow the on screen instructions for bios update and sit back while it does it, no boot disks or dos rubbish.

Dead simple and it does give you the option to create a bios recovery disk part way through.

I've flashed mine loads of times and never had a problem.
