I have a problem with my gf's rig and I can't get it to work properly.
E5200
MSI Neo3 P45
3GB Crucial Ballistix PC6400
Coolermaster CM620W Modular
Sapphire HD4870 1GB
Latest bios flashed..
Situation:
PC is turned off.
I turn the PC back on with the power button and everything powers up, fans spin but NO display (on all output ports).
I can reset all I want, turn it off (keep power button pressed for 5 sec.) and turn it back on, NO display.
Now, I found out that if I turn off the PSU with the button on the back, leave it for 5 secs and turn it back on, and then power on the PC using the normal button it does boot and give a display.
As much as I like to see my girlfriend bending under her desk to turn the PSU on/off this is not a very nice thing to do every time
Does anyone have an idea what the problem can be?
I'm close to getting another second hand P35/P45 motherboard as this is driving me/her crazy.
