MSI OC Genie VS ASUS TurboV EVO - The Showdown!!

Would be interesting to see it tested in a real test, to see which overclock is more stable.

It's also not a comparable test, as OC Genie has more similarities to ASUS CPU Level Up than it does to the Auto Tune feature of Turbo V Evo. OC Genie is great at what it does, it sets your overclock for you...where's the fun in that? :P

.

what about the quality of the overclock though as it could be on a stock fan or something and pumping out major heat and or could crash because its unstable?

The whole point in OC Genie is it provides a stable overclock, it keep voltage adjustments to a minimum, but with Dr.MOS the power requirement and heat output is still less than other boards. It also allows overclocking without affecting the warranty.

Maybe anyone with the board can post their results?
Asus CPU Level Up is not comparable. Level-up is not a stable overclock, its hit and miss. Their Turbo V Evo is designed to provide the highest stable overclock, (hence why it takes so long) which is why its the most comparable to OC Genie.

With OC Genie, after setting you can save the settings to a profile, disable OC Genie and use it as the starting platform to get really decent overclocks. If effectively takes the first hour of fiddling with settings away to allow you to spend more time on the real fine tuning :D

CPU Level Up is a stable overclock, or has been with every board I've ever tried it with. Turbo V does provide the highest stable overclock, but thats only the "Auto Tune" part of the feature.

Turbo V Evo also has the in windows tweaks, saving on reboots and BIOS faffing. :) The video seems to be an MSI Marketing video, tbh.

Can't wait to get me a decent cooler and then give the genie a blast :O. Nice music on the video, reminded me of some sort of old sega/jap console game, Outrun or something.

Is'nt that essentially what ASUS turbo v evo does as well, but not as good at it compared to the MSI OC Genie ;)
