With P55 fast approaching I thought it best to start an thread posting some snippets on the MSI P55 boards which are set to be the next biggest thing to launch since X58.

MSI will have 3 boards in order of price, highest and top spec first:

• P55-GD80
• P55-GD65
• P55-DC45

Which one is the P55 equivalent of the P35/P45 Neo 2-FR/FIR ?

The P55-GD65 is basically equivalent to the P45 Neo2-FR & P45 Platinum.

Dont they look odd without the northbridge.. looks empty in some places..

very much so, but the advantages like less heat will be a real benefit, plus better overclocking

Nice one well at least two of you are playing with your MSI boards, shame about this thread really as theirs 4 pages of total trash.

I'm not working at the moment so got plenty of time on my hands while I'm applying for jobs, I could do a similar thread like this if people want seen as it's the in thing for motherboards.

Anyone having any luck with the OC Genie? seems when i activate it the PC never makes it to windows.

Are you changing any other settings at the same time?
