Looking on MSI website, the only difference i can see is eSata, firewire and the marvell Sata III ports

I'm only looking to connect 1 x sata II HDD and 1 x sata III SSD so wondered if it's best to save my money and just get the GD53?

unless somebody can advise if the GD65 is better for overclocking or has better all-round performance?

cheers

scottiB is probably the best one to advise

I have the 65 myself and it seems to be a great board, wasnt too fond of the p55 variants mainly due to how different i was from the asus / gigabyte boards, but the new uefi bios is really easy to use

have my 2600k on this board @ 5GHz 100% stable, so it does a decent job

the difference between the 2 I can see is the voltage points.. but who uses them anyway?

it has 2 usb 3.0 ports instead of the 4 on the gd55 & gd65 (2 via header though)

...and no marvell, rear esata ports & no firewire on the rear like you say
