MSI R6950 Twin FrozR III rattling

Hi all,

I've got a problem with my 6950 that's causing it to vibrate loudly between 45%-75% fan speed. I've had to set my temperature/fan speed curve to:

...to stop it vibrating.

How can I prevent this? I can reduce the vibration if I support the unsupported end of the PCB up. Note that my card was never like this when I first bought it, it started after I stripped the PC to dust out, and ever since it's been vibrating. I've tightened every screw in the case and on the graphics card to no avail.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I'm going crazy here!

Was worried that was the problem. During a recent painful episode, my finger got caught in one of the fans and a fan fin broke off. This must void the warranty for sure.

Is it possible to buy spare Twin FrozR III coolers from OC or MSI? Or if I RMA the item they could replace it and I pay?

It's not possible to RMA directly to MSI (they say go to the reseller) and I'm doubting OC will want anything to do with it (I broke it, it's not their problem, right?) Any ideas?

Yes, that's what I'm suggesting, first of all just Email them asking whether they will accept your RMA though :)

Same with mine, around 40% ish the fan may start to rattle at any point. One way to fix it in MSI Afterburner is to run the fan at around 70% for a few seconds, then wack it back to down 25% to silence it, then back up to around 40%...
