Just purchased this card to replace a MSI GTX 960 2gb, I get the MSI loading screen, the machine appears to post but the screen then goes blank

i5-4670k @ 4ghz
8gb Corsair Vengeance
Samsung 128gb SSD 840 pro
Super Flower Leadex Gold 650w
Benq XL2430T

Tried Displayport and DVI with the same outcome, yet both ports work just fine with the GTX 960

Both 8pin and 6pin connectors are attached, I've tried using separate power connectors and the monitor controls are still accessible

I've un-installed the nvidia drivers, I tried installing the ATI driver but without the card installed it cannot detect the hardware to install the control panel

The system draws about 210 watts

I don't have another system to try the ATI card in

Any ideas?

What motherboard? Might possibly be a BIOS update, as know there have been some in the past to resolve AMD Compatibility issues (Never seen any relating to NVIDIA Cards)

i have seen both Nvidia and AMD both sometimes require a BIOS update to work.

give this a try and see if it helps.

might be worth trying a clear CMOS as well
