Just received this today and going to install it, it seems it needs 2 x 8pin power from psu, my psu only has 1 x 8 and 1x 6, will it still work?

You sure it doesn't require 1x6 pin and 1x8 pin... That's what my 5700 has

EDIT: JUST Google searched it, yeah 2x8pin connectors, my bad

Damn, guess its time to start saving for a new psu, teach me not to go looking at youtube videos and to get the only one that needs 2 x 8 xD

You could always just grab a 6-pin to 8-pin converter cable so that you can use the card in the meantime. As long as you're not going to try pushing it to its limits and increase the power limit to +50% it should be fine. The vast majority of 5700s run on an 8-pin and a 6-pin anyway. You could even decrease the card's power limit in WattMan just to be extra safe while you wait for a new PSU.

Interesting - seems a ALL of the newer GPU listings on OCUK are severely lacking in product information. The latest Nvidia GPU's have the manufacture "specification" table listed however the AMD cards do not. So the consumer is buying the product blind without knowing the "requirements" in this scenario PSU wattage /connectors required

I would be asking for a full refund + refund of the postage to return the item to them on that basis. Definitely worth a call to customer services and it will cost them in doing a return so they might be willing to do a deal on a new PSU.

I don't know much about Kolink PSUs but I highly recommend purchasing a very good quality unit (the most important component in your system).

As for the wattage, manufacturers always recommend more than what is actually needed - to allow a little extra headroom. No harm in upping the unit I linked to something with a bit more juice, though. :)

For rx 5700 even decent 550W will do: Seasonic, EVGA Superflower, but I would just get 6 pin to 8 pin max power consumption will be 400W nothing crazy to just use 6pin to 8pin
