We offer a three year warranty, the terms provided to our major resellers provide special terms in exchange for their agreement to handle the full three years of that warranty. This is a new arrangement made at the time that we extended our warranty from two to three years. The terms of our RMA provide a maximum 14 day turnaround for resellers (typically half that) from the day they ship the fault card out to the day that they receive the replacement.
The simple answer why we operate the RMA system like this is that the reseller will test the board and return them in batches. We can then replace the product and get the replacement back to the end user much faster than having to receive, test and dispatch multiple RMA's from multiple different people. in general, this method provides much better service as it allows us to keep turnaround times to a minimum, it also allows the reseller more freedom to handle the RMA by their own methods.
I hope this helps

The MSI has now been on RMA for over 3 weeks, despite their promise of 2 week turnaround. Military grade components with NHS grade service.
HangTime said:It took 25 days between OcUK sending my card to them and then shipping the replacement to me. So don't bank on that alleged "maximum 14 day turnaround" quoted above.... I can't guarentee that MSI didn't turn it around in 14 days (maybe the retailer dragged their heels) but regardless of where the delay was and even allowing for a double bank holiday it was basically a 3 week turn around and more than 14 working days never mind 14 actual days. Also don't expect to hear anything until OcUK get it back.
I guess the motherboard was within 28 days old?paz45 said:I RMA,d my motherboard direct to msi
and they sent new one out day after they recieved mine
Looks like MSI can take upto 21 - 28 days, at the moment. I woudn't fancy being without a card for a month.gregster said:I often recommend MSI purley from your thread Nelly. If this isn't the case, I will have to stop doing that.

This is not filling me with confidence seeing as my 7970 is an msi card.![]()
+1 to both.
Go on Matt... take one for the team; up the voltage to 3v and test out the RMA length
Please note: I'm not actually advocating malicious damage and/or warranty fraud
Hehe, don't tempt me posh cleecs.![]()
Made me even happier with my EVGA now.
Have always been informed that their RMA is great but maybe this is not the case right now.
