Hi Loki,

Any chance you can standardise the hyperlink text in this post and get Gibbo to update the CPU's / specs they link to on the site listings?

They are so inconsistent right now!

If I'm spending 2 to 2.5k on a laptop with you guys I want to be able to compare everything. Right now I have to click in and out, have 10 tabs open etc. even the msi laptop page on ocuk doesn't list the cpu specs until you drill down into each of the laptops.

It's great having so many variations, choice is good! but if you cant find the one you want it becomes overwhelming!


I want a skylake lappy, 16gb ddr4 ram, 256gb pcie ssd minimum, thunderbolt 3 port, 970/980, probably 980 with the gsync, would prefer 15" but will get a 17" if its not to cumbersome (I work away a lot).

OP updated :)

In regards to what you are after,

G-Sync will be available on all GT72 Dominator / Dominator Pro models as standard. At present we do not have a 15.6" Model with Gsync

Going off your spec and budget I would suggest the GT72 6QE (Dominator Pro)264UK -OcUK Exclusive This has the i7 6820HK, 1x 256Gb PCI-E SSD and 980M (8Gb GDDR5) Full powered gaming on the go. OcUK are expecting this around the 1st week of Nov

If you want something a little sooner, then you may want to look at the GT72 6QE Dominator Pro G - 044UK which is due in stock around the 10th of October. The main difference from the model above is that its 16Gb DDR IV vs 32Gb DDR IV and 2 x 128GB PCI-E SSD compared to 1x 256Gb PCI-E SSD

Once Gibbo is back from his hols, specs the main website will be updated

Quite tempted by one of these although would maybe have preferred a 15" model.

It would actually be for work (home-based) for some coding and use for VM's along with photo editing, but also looking for something that will keep me playing the latest games for a couple of years.
 
Waiting on the GS70 with 256GB of SSD going to be a nice CPU gpu upgrade from my first gen GS60 :) Going to have both love MSI gaming laptops! Still waiting on my dragon!

Is the GS70 6QE 010 17.3" or 15.6"?

Has exactly the specs I want, but the only thing stopping me ordering from you guys is that it lists the laptop as 17.3" in the title, but in the product specs at the bottom, lists it as 15.6".

Every other listing online has the GS70 6QE with a 17.3" display, so just wanted to make sure if this was the case or not.

Ordered the MSI (GT729) I'm currently typing on 6 years ago with you guys, hoping to be able to do the same with the GS70 in another 6. Gotta' have that 17.3 screen though.

GS70 = 17.3"

GS60 = 15.6"

I hope you guys who have ordered can post up some mini reviews when you recieve yours :D

Loki, on the 2 x 128gb model, are the drives in a raid array?

I'd rather wait for the 256gb ssd versions to come out before I order as im not too fond of raided drives, or at least fixing them when they go wrong!
