I need some help , I had 16gig ram 3200 Corsair , with MSI tomahawk max , I added another 16 gig Corsair same 4x8 , got more troubles , computer crashes a lot did , contacted the company and they said u need to return back we will check , the said it was defective one now I got new replacement , now I tried the new set can't run the rated speed , 3200
Tried uped dram voltage , 1.4 even tried manual same problem , I can set xmp profile 1 works 2933
Any one plz help thanks otherwise will return this , it seems my CPU can't handle more speed .
This my spec
MSI tomahawk max
Ryzen 1600af
32gig Corsair vengeance
Corsair 600 psu

It's probably down to the weaker memory controller on the 1600AF assuming you tested just the 2 new sticks on their own just to make sure they aren't defective? pretty sure if you dropped in a ryzen 5 3600 then it would run 3200 without issue.

You could try upping the SOC voltage a bit and see if that helps.

just tried upping the SOC voltage still nothing worked ,there is ofset mode and overide what is that ?
yeah i tested the 2 new sticks it works good with rated speed 3200

Are u sure that the memory controller on the 1600AF is weak cant support more then 2933? i was thinking requesting refund , but if i upgrade later to like ryzen 5 3600 it will run 32gig 4dimms 3200 witout issue?

It's the 4-stick thing, I'm afraid.

My 2700X runs fast timings at 3200 with two sticks, no chance of anything over 2933 with four.
No amount of messing about with SoC or settings will do it.
The odd chip (as mentioned above) will do it, but the majority will not.

well that is not good news, if it is not running the rated speed it will be useless i think,

I've never had an issue running 4 x 8GB sticks on multiple Ryzen and Threadripper systems, but I always made sure the RAM used Samsung B-Die chips, otherwise I had issues with the Corsair Hynix memory.

this is the one i have Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4 3200 MHz C16 XMP 2.0, i dont know if it i B-Die chips or not :)

I'm confident you don't have B-Die, you more likely have Hynix, and that's the only time I've had issues with 4x8GB not getting the full speed.

Check on OCUK, they sell some nice Team Group 8Pack ram that's B-Die and far better quality than the Corsair :)
well thanks for the advice , i think i will retun it back this 2 sticks , or leave it like this running 2933 , mmm
