MSI Tomahawk Max BIOS update question

I have the above motherboard and it has operated perfectly since I installed it a couple of weeks ago. The BIOS version is shown as E7C02AMS.300 but I see there is a newer version 7c02v34 dated 25.10.19 available to download. Is there any benefit in installing this new version or should I leave well alone (MSI themselves recommend in the handbook not to update BIOS unless really necessary) ?
If I do decide to update and use the recommended method of updating with a USB stick, does the stick need to be formatted first, or can I use an existing stick as long as there is enough free space for the downloaded file ?

I only update drivers, never BIOS unless there are issues with the current version or if its recommended for certain reasons

Update the bios, the recent one is much better, and then update it again when next one is out. These ryzen 3000 bios's are still really immature, the comment above me is valid for a mature system not for ryzen 3000

Existing stick is fine, I've had to flash the bios several times in the last couple of days trying to diagnose a problem. It gives you a little display of the stick contents and you pick the bios file to flash with.

Newer one will improve boot up time, but unless you're desperate for that I'd leave a working system alone.

Agree. Minidriver is right, but only once the bios settles down.
