I have very little understanding on picking out hardware for PC builds, but I have a basic knowledge of how to install components.
So what happened was a few months ago my water cooler decided to leak all over my GPU and I think also the motherboard. I have the MSI X79A GD45 PLUS and after replacing the GPU again I'm still not getting any sort of signal to the monitor. Sucks.
Was wondering if anyone knew of a cheaper option instead of purchasing the same motherboard?
I'm not a hard core user, I mainly use the PC for photo editing and maybe a bit of music/film editing. I couldn't tell you what processor I have installed.. All I know is that I bought the PC from PC World in the UK back in 2014 for a stupidly high price. It was overclocked and I got it specifically at the time as thought I'd be getting into gaming. I think I have around 16gb DDR3 and no particular desire to upgrade. Just want it working again basically.
