MSI X99A Godlike Gaming motherboard

An all-chrome colour model with that RGB lighting would be cool. Perhaps call it the X/M Power Mad Max...

But even plain black or white or white/black would be preferable to all that red.

Nice that they've got the ball rolling on this, though.

just been reading about this board, I have taken a liking to it, but how good does it compare to the Asus Rampage V Extreme? I was going to be doing a new build with the Asus board but with this now coming out its a hurdle thrown.
 
It does look well and no doubt others will jump on the led light customization but will it suffer from the MSI 'cheap' feel?

Did you not get the memo? Gaming = Red and Black now. The official colours of gaming.
 
This was a great board when I tried it. OC socket and packed with features for both gamers and OC.

I must be honest though I am really sick of all the Red and Black boards. I like variety and it would make for a better choice when tailoring the look of your rig if all vendors high end offerings where in differing color schemes.

I've been trying to find out but my google-fu is weak today. Could you use 3 gpus with one in the middle slot so that they are all separated by as much space as possible, and run them all at pci-e 3.0 x 8 at least?
 
That name... Godlike? Seriously MSI, your marketing department needs replacing!

+1 on the red/black setups, it's dull and stereotype now, hence the plastidip treatment on my Gigabyte G1. What I can't understand is RGB lighting with a "colour scheme" motherboard, at least keep it all black or black/white.

Didn't watch the vid previously, so assumed 'godlike' was the op being a little enthusiastic... Didn't realise is what msi had actually called it!

Lol.

That red on it does look tacky as hell though.
