Hi all, just built a new PC, all seemed to go smoothly, I had the memory in slots 1 3 5 7 as per the manual for quad channel. It posted first time. I had a look in BIOS etc, CPU temps were good, changed a couple of boot orders, saved the changes then it wouldn't post again. kept boot looping, no signal on the screen

I tried changing the slots to 1 2 3 4, no post. Tried just 1 dimm in slot 1, no post.

Then I reset the CMOS and put them back in 1 2 3 4 as per another forum post I found. it worked. got into BIOS, updated to latest BIOS.

for testing I then tried 1 3 5 7 again and no post.... put it back to 1 2 3 4 again and now I have windows 10 installed and boots fine....

Should I be worried? I noticed the box was battered when I got it which kind of annoyed me so worried it was RMA'd before and then sent to me.
