MSI x99S SLI plus PM961 detection issue

I have installed a 1tb PM961 SSD into my MSI X99S but it does not show it as available in the bios?

I think by default your motherboard has set your M.2 drive to be in sata mode which won't work with it being PCIe NVME.

Hit F7 (or whatever it is) to go into advanced mode, then go to settings > advanced > pci subsystem settings and at the bottom there change M.2 PCH strap to NVME.

(disclaimer: I have no idea if this is the solution but it seems logical to work. My board and your's are slightly different plus I don't own an M.2 NVME drive (yet))

Same issue, support site does say 500gb is compatible but nothing on the 1tb.

I was going to suggest the M.2 was disable my using the SATA Express but I can see now in the pic the Port5 is the one shared with M.2

Lack of BIOS support looks likey unless you can get some verification elsewhere.
