msi z77 gd65 no display in bios

Does it work if you connect directly to the motherboard?

Yes it works fine as long as my 7950 isn't in there.

Works fine with my 660ti in there and also works fine with my 6790 in there.

For some reason when my new 7950 is plugged in my bios runs at 640x480 which doesn't work for me.

its either a motherboard bios or gpu bios issue, have you tested with dvi or vga cable if your monitor has them?

I'm going to try new bios on both tonight.

Also having some really big problems with my motherboard and my samsung green memory.

It will only boot up on 1600mhz 9,9,9, anything better I get overclock failed.

Again it could be bios that's limiting your memory overclock, you could try 10-11-11-28-1t timings with 1.55v dram and 2133mhz

I just got a message off msi support and they sent me some unreleased bios that seem to have sorted my ram issues.

On stock bios I could run 2133mhz but it was a bit iffy sometimes posting and then after changing to latest bios I couldn't even boot at anything other than 1600mhz on auto. Even with 1.65v in it wouldn't boot at anything other than 1600mhz.

On the bios I got today from customer support I went straight in for 2133mhz 10,12,12 and it booted straight away.

I haven't got round to tightening timings up yet but hopefully msi have fixed the compatibility issues with the samsung green and I will be able to run at 2133mhz 9,11,11 21.

Still since putting in the amd 7950 card the bios are still running in 640x480 which isn't supported by a lot of screens. I have tried updating motherboard bios and it didn't help and my graphics card is already on latest bios.

It's really annoying having to use a different screen to access my bios and can't seem to find a fix but lots of people are having same problem.

I have this same board and sammy ram. I'm using the latest official bios which A80 but there is a slightly newer beta in the msi forum but think it only had one bug fix. Been using the sammy ram at 2133mhz for quite a few bios versions now and been stable also in a long mem test.

What timings you getting?

On the stock bios the best I could get was 2133mhz 10,12,12 21 1t

On the bios E7751IMS.A80 I couldn't even post on any timings other than stock.

On latest bios E7751IMS.A90 I'm already running 2133mhz 9,10,10 21 1t
