Few days ago I went to fire up the PC and it went into a perpetual loop, booting for a few seconds then restarting.

Done the paperclip test to rule out the PSU, all fine.

Tried changing to BIOS B on the board itself, though I never flashed a newer version onto it, although I assume it'll have a base BIOS on it?

Moved the GPU - MSI HD 7950 Twin Frozr III OC V2 - to another PCI-E slot, the fans spin in both. No signal to screen mind, the boot isn't long enough to get a signal out?

The BIOS LED on the board says 55, which according to the interweb is a problem with the RAM - GeIL Black Dragon 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C11 1600MHz - the four slots on board I tried all combinations with the 2 sticks THEN I sourced 4/5 sticks of RAM off a friend that were working, tried them all, no luck, still Code 55.

Not sure of any CPU tests but no extra hardware was added between September last year, when I bought it all, and now.

Am I missing anything or is this a RAM/board RMA/call to OCuK tomorrow?

Thanks for reading, Alan.
