My setup is :

Cpu: Intel i5 4670k haswell

Motherboard: msi z87-gd65

RAM: 8gb avexir mpower reds

CPU cooler: coolermaster seiden 120xl AIO liquid cooling

All i want is 4ghz at least, if i use OC genie is it safe?

Iv heard of people BSOD'ing when using the oc genie but they didn't state theyre cpu cooler.

Many thanks in advance :)

Sure its safe, but I would certainly be checking the Vcore it decides to use in case its too much.

isn't 4ghz just 200mhz above the boost clock anyway? just set base clock to 100mhz and turn the multiplyer up to 40 will give you a stable 4ghz surely?

Volts wise i would be very surprised if you needed more than stock at 4ghz tbh, the only way you would is if the chip is a horrible clocker.

So just jump straight in for a 40 multiplier? IM new iv just built my first pc and don't really want to be clear cmos ing or reinstalling windows, itll be multiplier overclock onley, i know there's a sticky but that's FSB over clocking, thanks for your help so far :)
