MSI Z87?

I have the MSI Z77 motherboard and it has been brilliant so far, it's well built uses quality components and is stable and reliable. I read a lot of praise for the Gigabyte boards but I also read of many people having problems. My last board was a Gigabyte and although it was reliable it would lose the overclock settings every so often. The only negative thing I can say about my new MSI board is that I can only overclock my samsung green memory to 1866mhz :(

What RAM are you going to use with the build???

I have that board for testing here and it works great for all but the highest end memory which also work too given the knowledge to input timings yourself as the Auto rules are not so great. I am working with MSI on this though.

I recently got msi g65 gaming and i'm having trouble with bsods and driver_irql_not_less_or_equal e22w8x64.sys; according to google this is an issue with the killer nic software and seems to have been causing issues for a long time. Is there any way to get the nic working without the killer software?

I'm starting to consider asking OCUK if they'll change this mobo, the rate of bsods is increasing and i'm getting seriously pi**ed off. I even removed what little overclock i had.

smiler, I have had nothing but trouble with the killer nic's - in the end i disabled it and installed a £15 tp link card - performs better than the killer ever did and not had a single problem since

At the moment i'm being told its probably the ram on the MSI forumn. I'll wait for more info from them. I'd rather just change the whole mobo since the killer nic was one of the reasons for choosing this over the gigabyte OC but i'm doubtful OCUK would do that. Told by MSI forumn that the XMP profile counts as overclocking so ive set my ram to 1600, see how that goes.
