MSI Z97 Gaming 5 & Pentium AE

Hi there,

I've already posted in the mobo section but maybe I should've come here first? :cool:

Just interested in what you think would be recommended settings on this mobo for the Pentium K at a modest overclock (thinking 4.3 to 4.5 GHz)...

Haha, yeah *slightly* different LOL. Though I hope to get something similar to your CPU at some point, funds permitting. The Gaming 5 deffo deserves something bettererer than the ol' Pentium-K in the future...

I was mainly thinking that the bios etc would be the same for the gaming 5 and 7, the only real difference being the hardware. If definitely start off by just changing the multiplier, seeing what the stock volts and temps are, then go from there. Make sure to enable XMP too

Oh I thought you meant the CPU, yeah I get u now. I downloaded latest BIOS (1.4) but I can't seem to manually change any of the OC settings :mad:

Did put it in 'Advanced' mode, not sure what I've done tbh... probably just being thick, not the brightest bunny in the world

you can change very little on simple but you can do most of the necessary things. All you do is highlight the parameter and type a number in...
