msi z97m heatsink painting

hi all this has prob been answered on here already but my motherboard heatsink is red and i want to paint it, can i use plastidip for this.

Should be able to. but I would say use standard spray paint and primer.

From the plastidip website:

NOTE: Surfaces which are non-absorbent such as metals should be primed using our recommended Primers, which are available in Clear and Grey.

I wouldn't use it to be honest, it will reduce the ability of the heatsink to do its job.
