Note: The BS about ActiveX was an improv ;)

I seem to get 2/3 contact requests /week these days. I just ignore and report them as spam without even adding them.

Tools > Options > Privacy > Tick - Only people on my allow list can see my status and send me messages.

I don't think I've ever got these and I'm not on privacy, I can't as for some reason people are always disappearing off my friends list!

Unfortunately this doesn't block the random add requests I get 10 times a week these days.

If anyone knows of a setting somewhere that says to automatically reject add requests, I would appreciate knowing!:(

Real odd can't say I've ever had people randomly adding me to msn.

Are you all using Hotmail/Msn Addresses for your MSN chat accounts?

Yeah I get loads of these as well.

Me three these days, although not that often. Having used MSN for nearly 10 years I've had more this year than previously combined.

Why would it block add requests? It quite clearly isn't meant to, but it does stop random people sending chats as posted in the OP.

Glad I'm not the only one with 124225243325424234 random people with dodgy looking account names adding me every single day. Luckily this is only happening on an old account of mine, but it is still annoying when I need to check in for certain things.

I get these adds, seems to be around 3 a day on average. Just mildly annoying rejecting them all but at least the addresses are blatant!

The world will come to an end once they move to addresses that are less blatant :)

I normally get a couple of these a month, but as my address begins with a B, it's pretty normal.
