One of the kids is sneaking on the pc when we go to bed and going on messenger,i know i can password the pc.

Is there anyway of finding out who used and logged Messenger on the pc ?

I have looked in Explorer history, but no luck there, just want to find out which kid is being sneaky :)

by explorer history do ya mean internet explorer? im sure there's a few logs in the MSN folder with connection info, might not say who was logging tho....or it might be an extra thing with msn plus that log, i cant remember.
just ask them outright :p say if ya dont own up im throwing it out the window. and if they still dont own up... take everything out of the case (without showing them) and actually throw it out :p that'll shock them hehe, then ya have an excuse to get a snazzy new case too :) mmmmmmm

ooo that just gave me another idea, say who ever has been on msn has brough a virus onto the pc etc etc..... :) should get to know up.... dishonest i know but hey, life's unfair :p

Yes i mean internet explorer, they are being well sneaky by not saving there login details on messenger.it was on the wifes laptop,we only knew they went on the laptop because they put it back in the bag upside down and they could not log the wife back into messenger because they never knew the password, she nevers sign out,but was signed out this morning.aint kids sneaky haha

yes we have now,it must be the oldest daughter, she has broke three usb wireless dongles.we told her to buy her own now, hopefully she would take more care with the usb wireless dongle if she buys it herself, but she said know, she has got a well paid job but rather spend it on rubbish.so she uses other peoples pcs to save herself a tenner.

Install msn plus and enable logging of the conversations and it'll record them where you specify under the users email addy. At least that's what I remember from last time I used it. Getting their own laptop is a good idea, maybe a cheap netbook would fit the bill?

I have Messenger Plus installed, its a good addon, but requires the user to select if they want conversations recorded - and this is per msn user IIRC.
