Hi guys, looks like the big wigs are interested in getting the department (20 odd users) connected up on MSN, i didnt think you could use it without a net connection, but a colleague says you can, is this true?

Also are there any other alternatives?

Many thanks.

Your not thinking of office comunicator are you?
its works off its own server and is MSM on your own network basically.

We use it at work the server software only costs about 3 grand from memory  but the security aduitors demanded it cause too many people were having work chats over MSM.

Miranda (the makers of ICQ) make a good app for instant messaging cannot remember what its called thou..

It has a server application and the end user part is very simple and easy to configure.
