MSN messenger on O2 stellar

I have been using MSN messenger on my O2 contract with unlimited data for a while now. just noticed since yesterday it allows me to log on to MSN, i can see my contacts and contact pics, but when I try to send a message I get an error, 'msn was unable to start a conversation....'

any ideas?

Maybe O2 have closed their ports for the Msn messenger service...have you tried ringing them to see what could be the problem??.

No thats not the problem. I use MSN on a regular basis on my XDA Stella. So somethings definitly wrong on yoru device. A small point but you are logged off from other MSN clients rights?

Well Im not logged on anywhere else. I formatted the phone, reinstalled the latest O2 ROM and MSN started working again - temporarily. It worked for about 30 mins, before it lost connection and now I just get unable to start conversation....

Just an update, apparently a few other users are complaining of issues, seems to be a problem with MSN Live rather than the phone or O2.
