during the heat of today, i noticed my cpu temp was running pretty high, considering i was only listening to some music and chatting on msn, speedfan and task manager said i was at 50% processing power on my 4200x2, seemed a bit odd to me, however i discovered that if i minimised open msn chat windows my processor usage dropped to around 1%, is this normal practice for messenger? im using a slightly different version of messenger, basically it has different skin and some options hav been changed a bit, could this hav anything to do with it?

If the cpu usage drops when you minimise the MSN screens, it certainly could suggest that the msn theme you are using is broken/dodgy/bugged. Try removing the theme and see if the problem is fixed.

problem fixed, unistalled it and now my processor stayes well down when chat windows are open, which kinda sucks, i really liked that skin

What skin was it? I use the Foton skin, and I love it. Its only compatible with version 7.0 though which is a shame. Not that the MSN versions above that add anything that I want anyway.
