MSN Not working.

Is it just me?

I am getting random error codes when trying to sign into MSN. Anyone else getting this? I also cannot get on hotmail's website. :confused:

If not, how do I go about correcting this?

Not really sure. Starting to me really annoying now. It was working just fine, earlier.

Well main one now is, 81000306. Sometimes, I get 80072745. I have tried turning firewall off, no help there either.

Make sure your system time is correct

Ah OK. Just thought I'd mention it as MSN refused to co-operate when it's wrong.

But you knew that, clearly

Have you tried on other machines on the same network? Reinstall?

doesnt help your problem but if msn playing up you could try this http://www.meebo.com/ just sign in on your msn account and all your contacts will be there ,no mail though

Reboot your router. I sometimes am unable to sign into msn and get the same 80072745 error.

Reboot the router and it works straight away.

msn can be incredibly picky about logging in sometimes here too :eek:

i have had this problem with vista 64......this is what i have used to cure the problem...maybe ok for you guys as well

if the error message you get is this one Error: 81000306 the fix is this

4.a. Click Start, click All Programs, click Accessories, and then right-click Command Prompt and choose Run as administrator.
4.b. Click Continue when Windows requests permission to continue.
4.c. At the command prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER: netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled
Note: This command disables the Window Auto Tuning feature.
4.d. After you disable the Auto Tuning Networking feature, verify if you are able to sign into Messenger.
