For a few months now i've been having problems with my contacts on msn not getting some of my messages and vice versa. There's no 'message could not be sent' it just doesn't get through.

I've tried a lot to sort it out. Altered the settings on my router, reformatted my pc, switched to using trillian, switched to messenger 8.5 beta and none has helped at all. It's just really annoying. The only thing i haven't done is register a new hotmail address but i'm not too keen on doing that.

If there's anyone who can help it would be appreciated.

Could some of the contacts be using an older version of MSN which doesn't have the 'offline messages' bit incorperated. Or maybe it is turned off on the other users system.

Have you tried creating a new hotmail account and using that?

Not a full switch but to just see if the berceuse your email isn't verified if it’s causing issues.

I'll have a go at creating another account and see if that clears it up, won't be able to do it till monday though as i'm away all weekend.

What router do you have? I had the same problem. Somebody here pointed out that the latest firmware for my router (DG834) doesn't work with MSN - i.e. disconnects/messages not getting recieved/sent. So I downgraded back to older firmware and it works fine now.

It's a 3com router, not sure what model. Actually, my uncle updated the firmware a few months ago and thats when the problem started. The firmware was updated on my wireless bridge as well. Thats a speedtouch 180 i think.
