MSN virus - how to remove?

Hi guys,
a mate of mine has managed to catch one of those msn viruses that logs her in an out of her account and sends links to her friends list, now she's asking me how to get rid of it.
I don't know since I never had one myself, anyone got a good fix for this, other than slapping her for being silly? :rolleyes:

My sister got one of these before, she had to make a new account in the end, as she couldn't get rid of it.

Ouch, hope that's not the case.
I blame her little sister for this though.
Anyway, I've told her to make a new password, reinstall msn and then do a virus scan using Avast, hopefully, this will do something.

Yeah it was well annoying, it used to sign her out, and then resign her back in on mobile devices, and send links to everyone about finding out who blocked you on MSN.

I think she tried a new password, but it didn't take long for it to start happening again, so she made a new account which is fine.

If it got the new password again, couldn't that mean there is a Keylogger on the computer?
