Sorry i didnt explain myself correctly, its one of those automatic chain virus things that automaticaly sends itself to everyone in your contacts without you knowing, he wernt being an arse.

Uninstall MSN.

Download Ad-Aware and Spybot: Search & Destroy, install them, and download all the updates.

Disable your network connection (temporary), run Ad-Aware first - do a FULL scan, to be on the safe side. Delete anything Ad-Aware finds.

With the network connection still disabled, run Spybot: S&D - delete anything this finds, also.

Go to the Temp folder - C:\Documents and Settings\<your user name here>\Local Settings\Temp. Delete all files in there - write down the names of any which can't be deleted.

Do the same for C:\WINDOWS\Temp.

Reboot, cross your fingers and get NOD32 installed.

Install MSN as soon as you know all is well.

Wouldn't that be add to msn before he run the software to get it gone

The amount of N00BS on a forums i use for my rididng that have gotten this amazes me.

It pretty clear it's a doggy link, the amount of times you get it sent, they way it look then the people your chatting to you it kidna would click.

I aint a noob mate

Yes you are. For not having decent antivirus. I got this the other day and clicked it. NOD32 came on and told me it's stopped it and everything is now OK :)

All I am told it does is message that same message to everyone else on your MSN. IMO there's no point in that so it obviously leaves something else on your PC.

EDIT: BTW system restore will do jack. Hows that going to remove a virus? It's just going to roll back on installed programs.

and any virus worth its salt will install itself there
system restore should be disabled, in 99% of situations nothing beats good backups
