A friend of mine is having some trouble, I thought I would post here to see if anyone had any ideas.....
"I am have problems installing reporting services 2000, when running through the install the installation shows a warning icon with the following text:
"The default web site is stopped on this computer. To access the Virtual Directories the default wev site must be started sfter SQL setup finishes."
The default website is running, although this site had to be recreated after some fool deleted it. I recreated it by the following commands:
c:
cd\Inetpub\AdminScripts
cscript adsutil.vbs enum w3svc/1
cscript adsutil.vbs create_vserv W3SVC/1
cscript adsutil.vbs copy W3SVC/### W3SVC/1
cscript adsutil.vbs set w3svc/1/ServerComment "Default Web Site"
If you ignore this message and continue the report vitual directoy and reportserver direcotry do not get created.
