MTU numbers

I have worked out my Windows 11 PC Ethernet 2 best MTU setting. Is the same MTU number applicable to the Router as well. The router is connected to the ONT directly.

There's no requirement for you to worry about MTU settings the vast majority of the time.

1500, 1542 or 9000

But as ChrisD said - why in home would you be worried about that is beyond me..

Leave everything default.

MTU settings were only really worth tuning during the days of dial up internet and sub 100/100 NIC's.
Nowdays, it's a worthless exercise and in all probability will just mess up your intranet rather than improving it.
