The appeal against sentence in this case has been dismissed.

Here's the full transcript as to the facts of the case and the reasons as to why the appeal was dismissed.

The appellant was convicted of racially aggravated s4a public order.

Can I point out that the appellant was not convicted of a racially aggravated s5 public order offence, it was in fact a s4a public order offence.

I'm pretty sure you cannot receive a custodial sentence for racially aggravated s5.
 
It does appear that he should notmhave pleaded guilty hoping for some degree of lienency, it would appear the original suggestion on these forums, that he should have guilty plea against a communications order rather than against the charge of racism, or fought the charge of racism on th grounds he said racist things but isn't a racist.

As his plea was guilty the judge shot him with a slaughter cannon on any appeal.


People get much less for doing much more.
This doesn't seem balanced to me in any way.

Has the lad who wished the soldiers speedy deaths been sentenced or tried yet? What did he get?

It was me that made those suggestions and now that I've read his comments via the full transcript he would've been convicted after trial anyway and ended up getting longer for not pleading guilty in the first place. (You get credit for pleading guilty before trial and is taken into account by courts but not enough to escape custody in this case).

The alternative plea to malicious communications woould also end in guilty and has same sentence powers. So he was
