howdy :)

I currently have a 4870 512MB with a 1920x1200 monitor. Whilst I don't have any performance issues, I can't run many games with >2XAA before the card struggles, I assume due to the lack of VRAM.

Would a GTX280 1GB be a noticable upgrade for me? Would I be able to pile on the AA whilst keeping the same framerate as my current setup?

Currently just playing Demigod, but I own just about every game made :)
 
Hi, I upgraded from HD4870 Overclocked 512mb to GTX280 ... and very happy!

but, I paid for GTX280 £220 (OCUK mad sale) and sold HD4870 for £210 (bought for £175).

Difference will be noticable,.. but do not bother if you gon' lose money to upgrade!
