Suprised this hasn't been mentioned yet. I only spotted a trailer for it yesterday.

Basically looks like some off-road / Ice road truckers kind of sim. Hope it has a vr mode. Definitely looks fun!

I caved and bought it last night as it's 50% off if you've got the original. Trying it out with my G25 wheel was quite enjoyable, the extra control you have with full manual gears and better steering/throttle input really helps you get around better. Camera and Controls are still really quite flakey though, I've got an annoying issue where if I try and do anything with the mouse but touch the wheel/pedals the mouse just keeps resetting to a different location, making it impossible to use!

I didn't see any options for VR in the menu, but I imagine that could be fun in the cockpit view.

Did a bit of sandbox driving before trying out some challenges. The challenge to drive the little jeep thing up the hill, all without using the external camera view or the winch was good fun. Really had to keep momentum up but not over do it as there are blind crests that you can't see over at all!

It's a sequel to Spintires.

Had it preordered since I loved the original and this has definitely improved. Pavel is back as lead but the publisher is Focus Interactive (Farm Sim)

It sounds better too and the physics are totally rebuilt which shows from the mud deformation. I'll find the thread from Pavel that went into detail about that it is quite a good read.

I think sequel is a bit strong, more like a remaster with some added content. Bought this with the big discount for owning the original, more than worth it to support Pavel after he got properly ****** over by Oovee.
Hopefully we will get some progress and decent updates/new content. Its a great polished product now, cant really fault it for any serious issues.

I'm enjoying it. I loved the original, and this is no different. Better textures, lighting looks good. Crane controls seem easier to use now compared to the first

Some of the challenges and their bonus achievements are insane. I've completed the first 8 but only 1 with the full set of bonuses (the drive up the hill one), most of them I can see how you'd deal with but challenge 6 has a broken down truck stuck in the middle of a river and you can't get close to it without getting stuck from what I've found so far! Need to have a closer look at the water depth now that I've noticed the map view shows it when you zoom in.

Glad they removed the having to line up the trailer the trailer in the new patch as that was driving me mad especially when towing a log carrier with the Maz :)

Quite nice as well after the fiasco with oovee that he can start to make the game he always wanted.
