On The Apprentice last week they were printing photos on mugs. They seemed to print out a transfer and stick it on. Anyone know where you can get these or what they are called? Google seems to tell me that you need a special heated press to apply them but they didn't seem to use anything like that on the programme. What's the finish like and how resilient is it to washing etc? What about blank mugs in that standard size they seem to come in these days?

Next is mouse mats. I'm sure you could print these yourself using something like a t-shirt transfer. Am I right or wrong?

I'm not sure about the mouse mat, but I think most cheaper or more basic mug-printing kits arent dishwasher safe and usually damage easily. Sorry i can't be much more help but thats all I know =/

Hmmmmm, that's interesting. I have found a load of other uses already ;)

Right, how many do you need? I work for a print management firm and this can be accommodated depending on the quantity.

The process that you want to use is "Dye Sublimation" which I used recently to do Mugs for Xmas with a competitor to OcUK (games retailer).

Mousemats - your best best is to ask for "Britemats" as these are the leading hard mousemat out there.

Hope this helps, if you require prices etc... I can email you further details!
