I'm after a triple monitor gaming rig with a build date of mid September. Budget is flexible but along the lines of sli 780 as opposed to sli titan, though if 7970 were 95% as good I'd happily save myself £600.

Looking to play arma, rome2, bf4 infact pretty much want to be able to pickup any game and play in ultra settings at 1080p, so cpu should be capable. I may even use it for, god forbid, work type stuff so flexibility is great if the premium is low.

Would like 27" monitors if possible, looking at max £1k for the three. Need a spec for everything sans os, keyboard, mouse.

See that's why I hate setting budgets. You only ever go over them lol

Especially loving that case, not only for the looks but the cooling and the ability to wc the cards later if they're too damn loud and/or hot.

I know 120hz monitors are great but will the bezels be Ok with eyefinity on that one (can't see a bezel width)

Will sandybridge-e be worth the extra cost for gaming?

Three weeks is like a lifetime for me to mull over the final spec but that's an awesome point for me to start which is what I wanted so thank you v. Much :-)

The 120hz is more of a personal preference. Since you are spending that amount of money, it kind of seems silly not to get some. Unfortunately, I cannot find any thin bezel screens on OcUK for less than the monitors I'd spec'd.

Sandy-E is a great chip and if you get the basic chip & board, it's cheaper than Haswell. You also get the added bonus of Ivy-E later in the year. Since your budget was 3k, I decided to use it :D

Yeah, that poses a high risk of electric shock lol.
Got my eye on some slim bezel monitors, which I'm gonna add to that corsair build (+1 for themed). I'm just agonising over the price of sli 780's. Can't seem to find any benchmarks on multi monitor setups with 780's vs 7970's. All I've seen is a lot of speculation as to direct compute becoming massive post amd's console victory which is swaying me toward the cheaper option which after adding a couple of 2tb hd's should bring me in on budget. Stay tuned for electro pron :-)

Custom PC have just started benchmarking new GFX cards at 1920 x 1080 x 3, I currently run three 22" 1080p screens (LG IPS224) with a 670 2GB, only game recently I've had to turn down to work was bioshock infinite just to ensure that the framerate was as high as possible.

god damn, this just arrived and first thing I clearly didn't pay attention to...

The fans are wrong, in the spec above both quiet and performance are listed. I'd assume I want the quiet ones but cfm is much lower. Please clarify which type (quiet/performance) should go on the front of my corsair 540?
 
AF fans the case the SP fans the H100, the only reason I spec'ed the SP Performance Edition fans then was because the SP Quite Editions weren't in stock.
