hey guys, I've gone and resurected my old 17'' TFT to go next to my 19'' widescreen, but I can't work out how to have two wallpapers!
also how do I get it so that there is non the the background colour along the top and bottom (letterboxing) on the 17''?
I've set the image to "stretch" in display propertys but thats not worked.

help!!

I fink you'll need ultramon for the dual wallpaper thing, as XP seems to display the same wallpaper on both monitors.

Re: the stretch, is your 19" your main monitor and the 17" the extended Desktop?

If you set it so that they are two sepearte monitors as opposed to one big one, you can adjust the resolution of each monitor independantly

and how do you do that?
when I turn off the extended desktop it turns the monitor off!

Right click the monitor in Display Props and select 'attached' but leave the 'extended' box unticked. It takes some playing around but you'll get it. If you have a graphics car software client, you might also be able to play around with those settings.

If you have an nvidia card then nView can also do the different wallpaper per display thing. Personally I prefer having one wallpaper across both screens, although vista won't put my wallpapers the right way round with secondary on the left.
