I’ve got a new system which includes a 5070ti (full specs in sig below).
I’ve moved from a 1080ti, which powered 3 x Dell U2414H Monitors in Nvidia Surround without a problem.
That was on 2 x Displayport and 1 x HDMI, as I needed the 3rd displayport for a Valve Index headset. This is repeated in the new system.
I prefer a 3 monitor setup as it's better for me arranging screens compared to an ultrawide single monitor for work (very basic office stuff). The primary use of the PC and monitors is gaming.
However, on my new system, the screen tearing in Nvidia Surround is awful. As well as in games, this includes moving windows around on desktop. The monitor on the HDMI connector doesn’t seem to be affected (unless it’s changed to the main monitor), but the screen tearing is really bad on the displayport connections.
I’ve tried changing various settings in the Nvidia Control Panel - Vertical Sync, refresh rates etc. I’ve also swapped cables, primacy of monitors etc. But nothing seems to help.
Any suggestions re settings etc?
Or do I need to bite the bullet and change the monitors to something with GSync etc? Would that make much of a difference? If so, I’ll address this in another thread.
