Multi-monitor screen tearing

I have two 1440p and a 1080p monitors all in different sizes and one has gsync and powered by 980ti-sli

Say im playing a game on the gsync monitor i'll like to watch a film on the other monitor but whatever i play the movie on i'll have screen tearing during fast action scenes.

Anyone got any hints with nvidia control panel or vlc settings to solve this?
