Hi guys,

Don't usually come on here asking for help but now I'm a bit stuck.

Been looking into getting a 3 Monitor setup with the triplehead2go.

Was quite keen on the Samsung T220s but I read today that the monitors have to be able to run at 57hz in order to run the 1680x1050 (x3) resolution that the TH2G uses.

I've read that the T220s and the 2233BWs aren't compatible with 57hz, can anyone confirm this and if so, can anyone recommend a good monitor that would work with this setup?

Thanks in advance :D

edit: I'm guessing I might get in trouble for linking you to the forum page that holds all the answers as the site advertises an OcUK competitor. Ah well.

Yes, the T220 and 2233BW are problem models. Here's a pasting...I don't think it's against the rules to tell you to google it:

# Samsung 2233BW - (works at 1680x1050@57 Hz for 30 secs, then an OSD message pops up and the screen turns black, no way to circumvent it)
# Samsung T220 (osd warning screen pops up and keeps popping up every few minutes)

Damn, thats a shame. I literally just found a link to the user manual and it lists 56-60hz :(

Thanks for the reply anyway, found that page you were referring to.

edit: I notice in your sig you have 'TH2Go 3x21.6"' - what monitors do you have?

Ah, forgot to update that...I had 2253LWs, but I recently sold them along with the triplehead2go. I'm now on a Dell 3008WFP with a 2007FP in portrait next to it, more photo oriented than gaming now.

Just a bit of advice, the new ATi 5XXX series of graphics cards are rumoured to have the option to play games accross 3 screens just as you would with a TH2G device.

Plus they'll cost less money than a TH2G box too.

Oh really? Hadn't heard that one.

Might hold off then, is there a rumoured release date for the 5xxx series?

Yes, it's called ATI Eyefinity technology. Supports up to 3 monitors :).

Edit: and it's rumoured for an October release along with Windows 7.
