Yo yo,

I am looking to buy a monitor for competitive gaming and watching tv. Are there any decent monitors which would be suitable? I would like to get a monitor with a low MS (Preferably 2ms)

I would be looking to hook it up via DVI and Scart Cable for sky tv, is this even possible?

Any info would be great.

Cheers guys!! ;)

will you be using it for your bedroom and watch TV whilst layed down on the bed? in other words, is a good viewing angle important?

Yep I will be using it in the bedroom lol :) A good viewing angle is not that important as the layout of my room is good.

Cheers

Any particular size you're looking for? And Im guessing you want it to be 16:9?
I think the best way to do this is get a seperate box/tuner for to get TV signal instead of using a monitor with built-in tuner.
I've read a lot of reviews, and I have not found a single monitor with a built-in tuner with as low input lag as just a regular monitor for some reason.

24" - 30". Do you think i'm asking too much from a monitor? Should I just buy a new t.v and monitor rather than beat around the bush lol?

depends on your budget really.. if you can buy both.. then I say buy a TV and a monitor :P
If not, then just stick to this plan (you can't use a TV for competetive gaming.)

I will have my setup like this:
Dell 2407WFP for movies and TV
Dell E248WFP for gaming

Both monitors will be used in university for crossreferencing and lots of multitasking. That is the reason why I did not buy a monitor and a TV.

However much I want 2xNEC 24WMGX3 setup, I just can't :(
Its way off my budget.. I got my Dell 2407WFP for £200, so I thought it was a steal :D

they didnt slate it that bad. strange it would be bad for gaming considering it has so many connections.

"For very ambitious gamers, the lag could be annoying, but most users should not find it a problem."

for the price and for what it does i dont think its a bad option.. show me another monitor with freeview baring the sammy T240HD :p

I can't argue with that.. It is a wonderful monitor/TV overall but just not good at all if you're serious about gaming..
