Right, I want to see how about a year difference will make to prices and such, mainly because I am that sad. I wont be buying components for a year, so this thread is basically for me to see how prices drop (as I will require another spec), if you don't want to spec fro this purpose, I completely understand. :D

The uses of the pc would be:
Gaming
Design work (Photoshop, Illustrator, Corel Draw etc.)
Video editing/recording
Audio editing
Possible Web Streaming
General Internet use

I am budgetting at £1200, which I know you can have a lot of fun with. I think I may buy the case soon (ATCS 840), though if you have other suggestions, go ahead. I also require something to recording from hdmi and AV (av if possible). It would be nice to also have some sort of screen fan controller on the front panel as well as a memory card reader and usb 3 drive.

Asume that I require no monitor, operating system or peripherals, though I would love to run dual or triple screen display.

As for the rest, that is purely your choice, other than the fact I'd LIKE AMD (though this is not a set guide line) as this would be my first build. I was looking towards an x6 cpu, though I shall see what you guys come up with.

When I finally get to build this PC (about March next year ) I will be re-posting as well as comparing the price differences to some of the posts I recieve.

I shall add this to my favourites and my diary. :P

Thanks in advance to any replies I get that are on topic, as I know this can be tedious especially when it is not actually gonig to be built.

I'm not being funny but it's a waste of time asking now for a build in 10 months time.

So much will have changed by then.

Half the componets specified now won't be available in 10 months time.

Ask again around February 2012.

Yes, yes, I see why you think that, but that is partially why I'm asking, because of change. I want to see how much the market changes, and I know a lot of people will see it as pointless, maybe everybody will, which is why I have pointed out I am grateful for any comments/replies I get.

I did expect to see comment(s) like this.

why the second power supply?

*edit*
actually, if you remove the second power supply and take into account free shipping (which he will have next year and were only doing comparisons here), that gives enough money to buy the black magic intensity pro, which is currently the best internal capture card on the market

Heres some hate,

Asking for a spec now, when you wont be building for 10 months is stupid, of course prices will change dramatically and you will be laughing at what you could have bought today compared to next year.

Even the tech will change and different new motherboards/CPU's and so on will be available then.

Hahaha, thanks for that. :P

I know that, I want to know see the difference as I find it interesting how fast we are advancing. I can't wait to see AMD's Bulldozer released.
