Multi region dvd player?

Hi,

I haven't owned a dvd player in years but still have a big collection of Region 1 dvds that I'd like to watch again.

Can anyone recommend a cheap dvd player that's easy to mod to multiregion please?
 
Can't really recommend them as such, the build quality is cheap and the performance is distinctly pedestrian, but there's there's good chance that the Bush DVD players from Argos are already multi-region.

What's left of the LG and Sony ranges are screwed together better, but by the time you're paying those sort of prices you're not far off buying a Blu-ray player.

If you're interested, I have a couple of nice Panasonic BD players kicking about gathering dust since the move to 4K. Both are already multi-region for DVD. They do a better job than the Bush/LG/Sony DVD players, and probably with the smaller Panasonic, it would cost about the same but including delivery.
 
i think the majority are multi-region, it's blu-ray players that are a pain to get. there used to be a site that listed the remote codes to switch regions but i've had a few players and none of them have ever kicked up about region 1 discs like my BR player did.
